6. Voter Rewards

Active governance participation is rewarded with additional bonus multipliers on top of lock multipliers.

Voter Tiers

Occasional	1-25%	+5%	Votes on 1-25% of proposals
Active	26-50%	+10%	Votes on 26-50% of proposals
Very Active	51-75%	+15%	Votes on 51-75% of proposals
Super Active	76-100%	+20%	Votes on 76-100% of proposals

Participation Rate Calculation

Participation Rate = (Votes Cast / Total Proposals) × 100%

Example:
Total Proposals: 20
Votes Cast: 12
Participation Rate: (12 / 20) × 100% = 60%
Tier: Very Active
Bonus: +15%

Combined Reward Calculation

Total Reward Formula:

Total Rewards = Base Rewards × (Lock Multiplier + Voter Bonus)

Example 1: LongFixed + Active Voter

Stake: 10,000 PATH
Lock: LongFixed (180 days) = 1.6x multiplier
Voter: Active (26-50% participation) = +10% bonus
Total Multiplier: 1.6x + 0.1x = 1.7x

Base Rewards: $100
Lock multiplier: $100 × 1.6 = $160
Voter bonus: $100 × 0.1 = $10
Total Rewards: $170

Example 2: VeryLongLinear + Super Active Voter

Stake: 50,000 PATH
Lock: VeryLongLinear (365 days, linear unlock during period) = 2.0x multiplier
Voter: Super Active (76-100% participation) = +20% bonus
Total Multiplier: 2.0x + 0.2x = 2.2x

Base Rewards: $500
Lock multiplier: $500 × 2.0 = $1,000
Voter bonus: $500 × 0.2 = $100
Total Rewards: $1,100

Example 3: TwoYearFixed + Super Active Voter

Stake: 100,000 PATH
Lock: TwoYearFixed (730 days) = 2.5x multiplier
Voter: Super Active (80% participation) = +20% bonus
Total Multiplier: 2.5x + 0.2x = 2.7x

Base Rewards: $1,000
Lock multiplier: $1,000 × 2.5 = $2,500
Voter bonus: $1,000 × 0.2 = $200
Total Rewards: $2,700

Example 4: ThreeYearLinear + Super Active Voter

Stake: 200,000 PATH
Lock: ThreeYearLinear (1,095 days, linear unlock during period) = 2.6x multiplier
Voter: Super Active (90% participation) = +20% bonus
Total Multiplier: 2.6x + 0.2x = 2.8x

Base Rewards: $2,000
Lock multiplier: $2,000 × 2.6 = $5,200
Voter bonus: $2,000 × 0.2 = $400
Total Rewards: $5,600

Voting Participation Tracking

When a user votes on a governance proposal:

1. Record Vote: Increment votes_cast counter

2. Update Participation: Recalculate participation rate

3. Update Tier: Determine new voter tier based on participation

4. Update Multiplier: Apply new voter bonus to staker account

5. Accrue Rewards: Recalculate rewards with new multiplier
